    "North by East" piece on Seattle-based Blethen Newspapers' sale of the Portland Press Herald's valuable Internet domain name to a South Carolina company that wants to market tourist information for Portland, Oregon. The Press Herald's previous owner grabbed the www.portland.com address in a seeming coup for the city.
