Abstract

"North by East" piece on the Nickels-Sortwell House in Wiscasset, donated to the former Society for the Preservation of New England Antiquities, now called Historic New England. Because structural work and a wet spring have delayed the painting of the exterior, the house appears to be in disrepair from the outside.
