Abstract

Profile of Portland native, former lawyer, and director of planning and development, Lee Urban, 58. He became Portland's director of economic development and later was able to combine the city's departments of planning and economic development and create his "dream job." His top priorities these days are the Ocean Gateway waterfront project and creating a new master plan for the waterfront at the base of Munjoy Hill and revitalizing the Bayside area, the last industrial section of the peninsula, where he pictures a new mixed-use neighborhood.
