Abstract

"North by East" piece on Hallowell restoration expert John Kennedy who was tapped by the University of Maine at Augusta to restore three Bernard Langlais outdoor sculptures known as "The Alligators." One of the massive hemlock logs used for the piece was full of rotting wood and insects. After the $10,000 restoration, "The Alligators" returned to campus and will eventually be displayed in the library.
