Abstract

"North by East" piece on the final Eastern Maine Class A basketball tournament held at Bangor Auditorium this month. Because of a population shift to the south, coming tournaments will be held in Augusta, ending a tradition that began in 1956. The biggest obstacle to changing the venue was nostalgia.
