Abstract

Profile of Sue Keating of Sweet Pea Gardens in Surry, a business that she owns with her husband, Pat. Keating first planted the flowers for her own enjoyment, then found herself with an excess that she sold at the local farmer's market, and the business evolved from there. A card she sent to Martha Stewart led to a spot on Stewart's TV show and a feature in "Martha Stewart's Living Magazine." Last year Keating opened the Little Flower and Garden Shop to accommodate her growing business supplying wedding flower arrangements. With tips for growing sweet peas in Maine.
