Abstract

"North by East" piece on Bruce Schwab, the first American to finish a solo, nonstop sailing regatta around the world. He kept his vessel, "Ocean Planet," at Portland Yacht Services. He recently moved from California to Woolwich because of the strong ties he developed to the state.
