Abstract

"North by East" piece on Carroll Shores, owner of the last Waterville dairy farm, who is selling his land to developer Village Works LLC of Portland. Shores' land has been owned by his family almost without interruption since 1802. Much of the land he used to hire to use has already been sold off for houses.
