Abstract
"North by East." University of Maine at Fort Kent President Charles Lyons, looking for money to build a student union and bookstore on the campus, discovered a $10,000 gift made in 1974 to build a swimming pool that never materialized. The gift, made in the form of General Electric stock, is now worth $122,000. Then-anonymous donor Louis Hilton, a Greenville businessman, had forgotten all about it and agreed to the change in use.
