    Abstract

    "North by East" piece on Sturdi-Bilt Sheds of Smyrna, one of the major industries for the town's small Amish community, which began with one family in 1995 and now includes 17 families. The company has one telephone, but no answering machine, and its only power machinery is an air compressor. Ervin Hochstetler, who started the company, moved his family to Smyrna in 1996.
