Abstract

"North by East" piece on a battle in South Portland over hanging yellow ribbons on city property that started in 2003. Four years and 17 Maine military casualties later, the city council voted to allow yellow ribbons on city property for a month to honor Sgt. Jason Swiger and Lance Corporal Angel Rosa, who were killed in Iraq.
