Abstract

Profile of Peggy Greenhut Golden, who since 1977 has helped build Portland's Greenhut Galleries into one of Maine's most successful and enduring art venues. She bought the business from her brother in 1990 and tightened its focus to Maine artists, balancing aesthetics and salability. She now represents 40 Maine-based artists, with her particular philosophy of client/artist care and cultivation. This month, she hosts a 30th anniversary exhibition.
