Abstract

"The Talk of Maine" piece on Mike Wilson of Bethel, formerly Maine outreach director for the nonprofit Northern Forest Alliance. He spearheaded the creation of a mobile museum housed inside an eighteen-wheeler, called "Ways of the Woods: People and the Land in the Northern Forest," which he hopes will help unite and highlight the often isolated communities of that area. With details on the museum and how Wilson and his former NFA colleague Steve Blackmer funded and eventually realized the dream of its creation.
