Abstract
The Landing School in Arundel offers five programs tailored to the marine industry and boatbuilding. Last fall, it welcomed its largest class ever, 85 students, ranging in age from 19 to 63. Federal financial assistance, such as retraining money, has made the school an option for an increasing number of students. The school has a talented faculty, rigorous program, specialized equipment, and offers training in the use of composites, but it also maintains its traditional roots. Boston BoatWorks has hired more than 20 Landing School graduates over the years.
