Abstract
A piece on Jo Ann and Wayne Myers' Waldoboro farm where they are trying to raise nearly extinct livestock breeds, including the Icelandic goat.Their mission is to bring back heritage breeds that were developed for specific climates and multiple purposes. Because Icelandic goats cannot be imported into the US, the Myers are using artificial insemination with imported semen to try to develop the breed.
