Abstract

Timeline noting landmarks in L. L. Bean's pop culture history, including such highlights as the 1944 introduction of the Boat and Tote canvas bag (now sported by celebrities and copied by top designers), and the 2012 blog Your L. L. Bean Boyfriend by Elizabeth Pride. This is done to mark the occasion of a 2020 New York Fashion Week collaboration between Bean's and designer Todd Snyder.
