Brief article describing the burgeoning food scene on Washington Avenue in Portland, an area formerly dominated by the John J. Nissen Baking factory. Discusses how the area transformed into the home of such enterprises as a gin distillery and a kombucha maker, along with a host of restaurants, including Cong Tu Bot, Duckfat Friteshack and Ramona's.
