Abstract

A sampler of Maine's pandemic-era music scene. An initial overview by Brian Keith reflects on the impact of the coronavirus pandemic - particularly the closure of live music venues - on Maine's musicians. Profiles follow of performers Bensbeendead, the Oshima Brothers, Louisa Stancioff, and the Halcyon String Quartet. Finally, a section called "40-Word Album Reviews" covers 12 releases by artists including Spose, Dominic Lavoie, and Lauren Crosby.
