Abstract
The story of the bus-shelter decoration that won Portland artist Ebenezer Akakpo the award for best bus stop on the website Streetsblog USA. Discusses how Akakpo, one of three artists commissioned by Creative Portland to decorate bus shelters, used designs based on adinkra symbols from his native Ghana to ornament the shelter outside 519 Congress Street.
