Abstract

Dr. Mark McCullough, wildlife artist and former U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Biologist, details his experiences leading an attempt to reintroduce caribou to Maine in 1986. McCullough describes the complex logistics of the project and comments on how he believes climate change would preclude any future reintroduction attempts.
