Abstract
The story of Chili Bean, a trained "conservation dog" who uses scent to locate endangered wood turtles in Maine so they can be tagged and studied in an effort to save the population. Discusses how Lindsay Ware, Chili Bean's handler, became involved in conservation, as well as how a turtle-spotting dog is trained and goes about its work.
