Abstract

A brief account of the challenges faced by LifeFlight of Maine to deliver healthcare and retrieve patients in rural areas of the state. Describes how cameras installed at rural airports assist the LifeFlight crew in assessing landing conditions, reducing uncertainty and delays that could be fatal to critical patients.
