Abstract

The story of Amjambo Africa!, the newspaper created by Georges Budagu Makoko as a way to help other African-born New Mainers like himself adjust to their new home. Briefly recounts Makoko's collaboration with cofounder Kit Harrison, and describes how their publication has grown. Notes Amjambo's two-fold mission: to educate the immigrant community about Maine, and to educate Mainers about the immigrant community.
