Abstract

Four mountain homes are featured: a Rangely house deisgned by Falmouth architects Kevin Browne and Jon Sevigny for a retired couple who wanted a low-maintenance house without stairs; a Saddleback Mountain A-frame owned by Lincolnville artist Mary Bourke and her husband, Michael Margolis, which was designed by Barrett Made, a Portland design-build firm; an A-frame in Bethel which owners Courtney and Patrick Ryan designed in partnership with Bethel architect Tony Andrews; and a condo in Sugarloaf's Birchwood development, owned by Portland property manager Ann Marie Malone and her husband, Joe, which the couple expanded by removing a deck and some interior walls.
