Abstract

Carroll Sargent Tyson, born into a wealthy Philadelphia family in 1878, spent nearly every summer of his life in Northeast Harbor. Tyson was a landscape painter of some repute, and during his lifetime he exhibited works in Washington, New York and Philadelphia.
