Abstract

"Letters" piece commenting on the future of the Peaks Island branch of the Portland Public Library should Peaks Island becomes an independent town. An equivalent library could continue to exist through negotiations with the Portland Public Library board, or it could be set up as an Independent Free Municipal Public Library through the Maine State Library or similar agency.
