Abstract
The Outer Islands Teaching and Learning Collaborative (TLC) was created by veteran island teachers to connect the students and teachers of Maine's one- and two-room island schools. Discusses how technology such as laptops and videoconferencing technology has expanded the students' opportunities, providing them with a larger peer group and enabling them to participate in such projects as curriculum development and a virtual student council.
