The Florida Keys are the third most vulnerable community to sea level rise in the U.S. Although many communities have adapted their infrastructure to reduce the risk of flooding, the sea continues to rise. Tourists and new residents don't necessarily feel the effects day-to-day, but sustainability coordinators are preparing for the future.
