Abstract
A brief look at the Star of Hope on Vinalhaven Island, the magnificent yet crumbling three-story building, once the home lodge of the Independent Order of Oddfellows, and then the residence of artist Robert Indiana. Since his death in 2018, focus has been on stabilizing the deteriorating structure, amid litigation that has hampered efforts.
