Abstract

Last October, Central Maine Power (CMP) established a database linking commercial real estate brokers, economic developers, and financial institutions. The database's test phase has been very promising, and CMP plans to expand it to include such information as tax assessments, community profiles, and financial assistance. By July, CMP expects the database to include every commercial property over 1500 square feet for sale in Maine. It should bring a sense of coordination to the currently fragmented commercial real estate industry.
