Abstract
Commercial Street has become "decorators' row" in Portland. Twelve home decorating stores have formed an unofficial association to create an identity for Portland's waterfront, like that of the Arts District uptown, which retailers complain is being promoted at the expense of Commercial Street. Decorating stores profiled include Green Design Furniture, Keniston's Tile & Design, Decorum, Lighting Works, Foreside Company, Renaissance Antiques, Asia West, Jameson Gallery, Whip and Spoon, Resourceful Home, Richard Parks Gallery, and Finest Kind.
