Abstract

Profile of Child Care Connections, which connects parents in need of child care with area providers. Although the first service of its kind in Maine, it is now part of the 11-agency, statewide Resource Development Center network. Many area businesses maintain a flat-rate contract with CCC, providing their employees long-term and last-minute child care options. CCC Director Linda Elias says child care is the fourth-largest expense for working families.
