Abstract

"Capitol Update" piece on the reaction of Dana Connors, president of the Maine State Chamber of Commerce, to the legislative session that concluded April 30. He believes the business community will be negatively affected by some 70 fee increases, a bill allowing haulers and loggers to organize and negotiate with wood purchasers to set rates, and a minimum-wage increase.
