Abstract

"Newsworthy" piece on Ira Rosenberg, 67, new owner of Prime Toyota-Hyundai in Saco and former owner of Mass.-based Ira Automotive Group. He sold his business to care for his ailing wife, but when she recovered, he was unable to re-enter the Massachusetts market because of a non-compete clause. He chose to come to Maine when he found Prime's owners were interested in selling. Rosenberg hopes to develop the Route One strip into a "real" auto mile--a car-buying destination that involves joint marketing efforts among several dealerships.
