Abstract
"Maine Business" piece about the exhibition in the lobby of the Maine Employers' Mutual Insurance Company on Commercial Street in Portland of 70 black-and-white photographs of fishermen by Maryland-based photographer Earl Dotter. Entitled "The Price of Fish: Our Nation's Most Perilous Trade Takes Life and Limb in New England," runs through August 29, and documents the lives and work of New England fishermen, including the crew of the Portland-based stern trawler, the "Edward L. Moore," as well as lobstermen from Vinalhaven, scallop draggers in Eastport, and sea urchin fishermen in Cobscott Bay.
