Abstract

The Convention & Visitors Bureau named Sally Nelson of The Longfellow Group a "local hero" for bringing two conventions and $400,000 in related spending to southern Maine. The CVB is kicking off a grassroots "Meeting Connections" campaign to bring $20 million worth of new meetings and conventions to the region. The group works hardest to attract groups from November to June.
