    Abstract

    "Business Maine: Southern" piece briefly reporting that United Systems Access Inc. of Kennebunkport announced in late May that it has purchased Prexar, a Bangor Internet service provider, for an undisclosed amount. Prexar was a subsidiary of St. John, New Brunswick-based Aliant Inc. United Systems offers local, regional, and long distance phone services to customers in 12 states from Maine to Virginia.
