Abstract
"Focus on Down East" piece on Neal Workman of Boston and Kennebunk, who founded Atlantic Saltworks of Maine after his Portland-based Internet firm Gofish failed in the dot.com bust. The Lubec company harvests, prepares, and packages sea salt, which will be marketed under the name Quoddy Mist. Workman is targeting a niche in the fast-growing specialty-food market. His factory is located in the former R. J. Peacock Canning Co., a building shared with the Peacock sea urchin hatchery.
