Abstract
"Focus on Safety and Security" piece on Justin Page, Lynn Bromley, and Rebecca Weinstein, whose Westbrook-based business, Identity Cops, will launch Privacy ProBot, an 24-hour anti-identity theft service designed by Page. They say the service is unique in being able to alert subscribers of possible identity theft before damage is done, although some experts say the prediction service won't be that useful in providing actionable information. Identity Cops is a reincarnation of Page's New York City business EPrivex, which folded in the dot-com bust. With details on how the company gathers its information.
