Abstract

"Focus on Health Care" piece with an interview with Kenduskeag businessman Dan Dauphinee, operations manager for Old Town Lumber Co. and Northeastern Log Homes. He and nine other Bangor-area business people participated in a simulation of Eastern Maine Medical Center's annual prioritizing of expenses for capital expenditures. He describes the exercise, how the group analyzed six cases, asked questions, and made tough decisions about what projects to fund within their allotted budget.
