Abstract

"Capitol Update" piece on U.S. senator Olympia Snowe of Maine, who has been re-named chair of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship. She will reintroduce legislation to make health insurance more affordable as well as a bill to require the federal government to provide tools to help small companies comply with federal agency regulations. Maine congressman Mike Michaud will re-introduce his bill to create a Northeast Regional Development Commission for job creation and economic development in distressed areas of Maine, N.H., Vermont, and N.Y.
