Abstract
In fiscal year 1996, $34,166,855 changed hands at about 20,000 Maine bingo events. Non-profit organizations are allowed to set pay-offs as high as $1400 a game, but the high-stakes games in the Penobscot Nation have no legal limit. State Representative George Kerr has also introduced legislation to legalize town-run bingo games in Old Orchard Beach. Details.
