Abstract

"Focus: Building and Real Estate" piece on Scarborough-based Commercial Paving and Recycling Co. (CPRC), one of the few state-licensed construction and demolition (C&D) debris recycling centers in the area. John Adelman, CEO, said the company takes materials that formerly would end up in a landfill, and gives them new life in the form of recycled construction materials. CPRC's business model depends on a steady stream of material that it can turn into sellable products. Since November, CPRC has also been operating the Riverside Recycling Facility for the city of Portland. Details.
