    Abstract

    "Business: Statewide" piece reporting that Maine recently doubled the number of biotoxin monitors and testing stations along the coast to help the Department of Marine Resources keep tabs on red tide toxic algae blooms. Last year, Maine and New England experienced the worst red tide bloom in 30 years, with as much as 75 percent of the coast closed for shellfish harvesting at some point during the season.
