Abstract

Ross Furman, owner of Skillful Home Recreation in Portland's Bayside neighborhood, is transiting from a largely commercial to a consumer market. Portland-based marketing firm Kemp Goldberg oversaw the rebranding and renaming of Skillful Vending. Furman's commercial business, which included cigarette machines and pay phones, had dwindled over the years, and a growing number of customers were outfitting home game rooms. Furman battles the big stores with service and quality products. He has been involved in the recent redevelopment of Bayside, where he owns roughly a dozen buildings and five lots.
