Abstract
The Maine Turnpike Authority has been reviewing various traffic plans to stimulate economic development around exit 8 in Portland. When the turnpike opened fifty years ago, exit 8 was one of the first areas of Portland to see major development. Today, Home Depot has recently opened, and Joker's Family Fun 'n Games is scheduled to open in the spring.
