Abstract

"Capitol Update" piece on the development of Maine's business and consumer court, noting that Leigh Saufley, chief justice of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court, recently named an advisory group to start work before funding starts for the four new judges and supporting staff on January 1. David Clough, Maine director of the National federation of Independent Business, believes the business court is a positive step, but worries that filing fees will be higher than current fees.
