Abstract

In recent months Husson College has announced plans to open graduate schools of pharmacy and law; begun construction of a new student center; and signed educational partnerships with Unity College and Northern Maine Community College in Presque Isle. There are also plans to launch a technical institute and a school of performing arts at the Bangor-based school. With comments by William Beardsley, president and CEO; Dewey Martin, accounting professor; Joseph Bruno, former state representative and head of Augusta-based Community Pharmacy chain; and Rob Kuhn, dean of Husson's business school. With notes on the history and development of Husson College from its founding as the Shaw School of Business and Penmanship in 1898.
