Abstract

"Focus on Human Resources" piece on Strive U, a post-secondary education program for students with developmental disabilities, which is an offshoot of PSL Services in Portland and is directed by Peter Brown. Thanks in part to efforts of organizations like Community Partners in Biddeford and Creative Work Systems in Portland and the emergence of disability laws, companies today are more likely to pay someone with disabilities fairly. Dick Wigton, who with his wife Barb, runs the Portland office of the Talent Tree, a staffing company, is helping to place Strive U students.
