    Abstract

    "Business Maine: Midcoast & Down East" piece on VillageSoup, a weekly newspaper and website based in Camden, which recently said it will receive $885,000 over two years from the Knight Foundation in Miami. The money is part of the foundation's $25 million grant for online news organizations. VillageSoup will use the money to rewrite its software and launch VillageSoup Common, a new venture that will allow people to buy the VillageSoup publishing software, and manage news for their geographic area.
